What previous training in Greek or Latin, if any, do you require?
Students who wish to participate are normally expected to have begun the study of at least one of the ancient languages before their arrival.

How many years do you expect students to remain in residence in your program, on average?
Students who have had previous training in both languages often enroll for one year but, depending upon interests, those who need more work in one or both of the languages often stay in the program for 2 years.

Are there special post-bac courses in your program or are students integrated into existing grad/undergrad courses?
Students enroll in existing undergraduate courses in Greek and Latin that are taught at all levels from beginning through very advanced in both fall and spring semesters.

Of those students active last year, how many are now in graduate programs in classics or related fields, and where?
Seven of the twelve students enrolled last year are now in graduate programs at: Washington University, Tulane, University of North Caroline, Durham, UCSB, Indiana, and Florida State Univ. Two of the twelve have continued in the program for a second year.

What is the tuition for your program?
$2552 for two courses per semester, $5104 for both semesters. Students may enroll in additional courses for a tuition rate equal to what Georgetown charges per credit in its Liberal Studies program ($719 per credit in 2007-08).
